    1. [ILHAMILT-L] 1930 Census
    2. Carol Janes
    3. Hi Everyone! Great news!! In yesterday's Chicago Sun-Times it was announced that the 1930 census has been released. For those of you in the Chicago area, both the Chicago Public Library and the Newberry Library have ordered copies. According to the article in the paper, the libraries should have copies within the next week or two. The National Archives at 73rd and Pulaski, in Chicago, will have the full census for all states and territories. If I read the article correctly, the libraries will only have the Chicago area census. Appointments are required at the National Archives and can be booked in four hour segments. Carol Janes --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! 1. [ILHAMILT-L] Help on Fam Tree procedure
    2. James Gholson
    3. Joyce, I don't understand just what you are trying to do or copy to, but might help you get it from FTM. First open your FTM and go to the Family page that you want to make a copy of. I like using the "Genealogy Report" at the top of the tool bar. In version 6 it is a little blue document with a 1 and 2 on it. After clicking on it a dialog box may appear unless it is clicked do not show. This will explain, Choose 1 of 3 different genealogy reports- Select format: Genealogy report format. You may choose to install notes & Source Info. Select Options. Change how generations are numbered..Select Contents: Select Options. After selecting Genealogy Report, I have selected Contents at top of tool bar and clicked on how many generations to show. Next click on Options in the Contents window and you will be allowed to fill in with check marks the facts, notes, etc, that you also want to include. Next go to and click on "Edit" at the top left of the top tool bar and scroll down to "Copy Genealogy Report". The report can now be pasted into another document. I like "Word" as it keeps the format and can be saved out as a file to a floppy disk and then e-mailed as an attachment, or printed out by almost anyone. It can also be dropped into an e-mail as I will attempt now but not sure how it will hold up or stay centered. Example: Descendants of William Gholson Generation No. 1 1. WILLIAM5 GHOLSON (FRANCIS4, ANTHONY3, WILLIAM2, ANTHONY1) was born April 20, 1789 in Fayette County, Ky., and died August 04, 1843 in Hamilton Co. IL.. He married SARAH 'SALLIE' THOMAS November 12, 1810 in Maury Co. Tenn.. She died October 08, 1849 in Hamilton Co. IL.. Notes for WILLIAM GHOLSON: Was referred to as "Elder". He was listed as "Ordained" minister with the "Muddy River Baptist Association" He was probably a member of the North Fork Saline Baptist Church east of Broughton. His name is found on marriage records performed in both Hamilton & Gallatin Counties. A Land Patent recorded in Hamilton Co. IL., book 40 page 414) regarding "An act granting Bounty Land to certain officers and soldiers who have been engaged in the military service of the United States." Record of Miscellaneous Military Grants. Vol. 146 page 496 E. "Elder" Wm Gholson, noted Baptist minister, was born April 19, 1789 (on the same day and month of the famous ride of Paul Revere) and died the 4th of August 1843 "aged 53 years 3 months and 15 days" according to his bible and tombstone. He lies buried in the Barker Graveyard at Broughton, Ill., beside his faithful wife and helpmate who died Oct 8, 1849 "aged 53 years 2 months and 8 days". 1. [ILHAMILT-L] Louisa "Eliza" Maulding Kinlock Sandusky
    2. Evalyn Turner
    3. Hello List, Does any one have any information on "Eliza" or her (first or second ?) husband Robert Kinlock? Louisa "Eliza" was daughter of Nancy Price and Lorenzo Dow Maulding and was born in 1858 in Hamilton Co. IL According to marriage certificate to David Franklin Sandusky in 1920 she was a widow, he was her third marriage and she had come to Hamilton Co. from Guthrie Oakleyhama (spelled that way on certificate). I'm guessing that she and Mr. Kinlock married sometime around 1880 --Does anyone know when or where they married.? -. I have names of 4 of her Kinlock children -all born in Missouri Mary E.b. Jan 1883. Arthur B. b. Dec.1884 Elmer A. b. Dec 1889 Lida O. b. March 1891 "Eliza" was in Oklahoma in 1910 with daugher Lida, but she was listed as divorced. Does any one know what happened to Mr. Kinlock? Was he divorced, did he die? Where? When? Does anyone know when or where "Eliza" died? After her divorce from David Franklin Sandusky in 1926, she dropped the name Sandusky and went back to name of Eliza M. Kinlock, sometimes Mrs. E. M. Kinlock. I have lots of questions, hope someone has some answers. Thanks for any information. Evalyn
