    2. I have an ancestor named Susanna Fields who mar. Hiram Biggerstaff. ?Susanna (ca?1800 KY- ca 1846 White, IL)?was the daughter of Joshua and Jane Fields. ?Hiram and Susanna were mar. 8 Feb 1821 in White Co. IL. I show as notes for Joshua the following: Joshua (1771-1825, bur. Enfield Cem.) was the progenitor of the FIELDS family in White Co. IL.? He came from VA to "Fored" Deer (name of a river) in TN. ?Joshua is identified as the father of Sally Fields Phipps.? When Sally married Phipps in 1832, she had to have Hiram Biggerstaff (Susannah Fields' husband) swear that Sally was 18 years old. ? It is likely that Sally and Susannah are sisters, and probably also Polly, who married Hiram's brother. Marr. record for White Co. IL shows Joshua FIELDS marrying Rhoda ABAR on 16 Jan 1836.? This could be a son of Joshua's, or possibly a second marriage. ?Also, I show the following for Joshua and Jane. ? Children:?????????????????Thomas (1793-1840) ????????????????????????????? William (1794-1853) ????????????????????????????? Susannah (1800-1846) ????????????????????????????? Jeremiah (1801-1868) ????????????????????????????? Polly (Mary) (1805-1831) ????????????????????????????? James C. (1811-) ????????????????????????????? Sally (1814-) ????????????????????????????? Joshua ????????????????????????????? Denson? ?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Jane I thought you might find this helpful for further research. ?The primary source of this information is: FIELDS research by Mrs. Chalon T. Land found in the Carmi, White Co., Public Library. If you have corrections to this information, I'd love to hear it. Break-ins were reported at Blooming Grove, Delafield, Hopewell, Middle Creek and Mt. Olivet Baptist churches, Hamilton County Sheriff Greg Brenner said. "They basically made a big circle," Brenner said of the pattern of break-ins. At Blooming Grove, a DVD player, digital camera and laptop computer - as well as a hammer - were taken, a sheriff's department report said. At Delafield, canceled checks were taken, several of which were recovered alongside a rural road, sheriff's reports said. A copy machine was damaged at Blooming Grove, and other damage included broken windows, a smashed microwave door, and busted light bulbs, reports said. At least two of the break-ins are thought to have happened overnight Sept. 9. "We're still looking for tires that match prints we found at Delafield," Brenner said of the ongoing investigation. The sheriff's department and Illinois State Police are working on the investigation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List admin: [email protected] Info/Archives: http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/IL/hamilton.html USGenWeb site: http://hamilton.ilgw.org ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Rural churches burglarized By PAUL LORENZ [email protected] McLEANSBORO - Police are investigating break-ins last week which resulted in damage at five rural Hamilton County churches.
