    3. I was at the C.E. Brehm Library in Mt. Vernon recently and they seem to have all of Sharon's cemetery books. I believe her 1992 edition is 5 volumes of selected cemeteries, mostly in the Dahlgren area with a few from other parts of the county. She then plubished a 9-volume set of cemetery books in 1998 called Kin and Friends: v.1. IOOF Cemetery, Dahlgren v.2. Garrison Cemetery v.3. Crouch Cemetery v.4. Blooming Grove Cemetery v.5. Richardson Hill Cemetery v.6. Middle Creek Cemetery v.7. Bethel/Waugh, Crisel and Preston Cemeteries v.8. St. John Nepomucine Cemetery, Dahlgren v.9. Pleasant Hill, Stull, Atchison, Shelton and Rawls Cemeteries I don't know where any copies of Sharon's books can be had. I just wanted to say that Ryan and Micki and others from the Historical Society have the genealogy library at McCoy Library in great shape and it is a great place to do Hamilton Co. research. I wish I lived closer! Mike -----Original Message----- From: Mr. Ryan Nelson Sent: Sunday, November 01, 2009 12:37 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ILHAMILT] Easley Cem. Books? Micki Faruzzi and I went to the Williamson County Historical Society's genealogy library Thursday and discovered that there are three volumes of Hamilton County Cem. records published by Sharon Easley in 1992. We do not currently have these books in our gen. library in Hamilton County. Does anyone have any idea of where some might be aquired? ______ Over the last few months, we have aquired more than 150 new books. If you haven't been up to the genealogy library in Hamilton County, it is worth looking again. Brand new shelf files and binders have been added. It looks nice. 3. Thanks so much Cindy, for the information. 1973 sounds like that would be about the time I purchased the book. I did some corresponding with Harriet around that time and I know she worked hard at genealogy. I will check into the Shuster books. 3. Donna, The last date I see in the Vaught book is 1973, although most of the readings were in 1963. Mrs. Vaught did genealogy work in White County from the late 1940s on, and published a number of books which are now offered by the White County Historical Society. The public library in Carmi has several volumes of her notes, which were donated after her death. Her handwriting is very difficult to read, and her books contain a number of errors. The Shuster books are very good. I know they were offered by him for many years and assume the historical society in McLeansboro offers reprints. 3. Ryan, We sure don't have them at the genealogy library in Carmi either. I didn't think there could be much of an improvement over Ed Shuster's booklets, but his were done in 1986 or before making them a little old.
