Greetings Grundy Researchers!! The Coal City Public Library District has launched a new internet website, "Coal Mining in Illinois". They held a program yesterday to launch their project on the internet (unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend) which featured area historians discussing coal mining in Grundy and Will Counties. The following Grundy and Will County towns are included in this project: Braceville, Braidwood, Carbon Hill, Coal City, Diamond and Wilmington.
