He renounced the Queen of Great Britain. His witnesses were George Barrett & Thomas Louch. I found nothing for Frederick Brownsey. I found no probate for either Charles Flower or any Brownsey. There is no naturalization for Charles Flower in Grundy County. Braceville-Gardner Cemetery in Grundy Co, IL Block 11, lot 48 Eliza Flower 1876-1935 Charles Flower 1874-1954 Sarah Ann Flower 1872-1907 "Morris Daily Herald", Mon, Nov 29, 1954 Gardner---(Special)---Charles Flowers, 80, a retired farmer, died in Grundy County Rest Home near Morris Sunday. He had been a resident there for the past several years. The body is at the Hansen Funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. John W. Kitching officiating. Burial will be in Braceville Gardner cemetery. Mr. Flowers was survived by a niece, Mrs. Gladys Warning, Braceville, a nephew, Horace Brownsey of Welloby, Ohio, and sisters and brothers residing in England. "Morris Daily Herald", Wed, June 19, 1907 Because she was homesick for her old home in England, from which she had come only a little over a month ago, Mrs. Charles Flower, residing with her husband in Maine township, committed suicide about noon today by drinking carbolic acid. Her husband came from England in March and she followed in May. She did not like the country and continually complained of being homesick. "I am so homesick," she kept saying to her husband. He finally agreed to let her go back to England, but she refused unless he would go with her. She became very despondent. Flower has been working on the farm of Fred Adams. At noon today he went home for dinner, but soon came running back with a bottle, saying that his wife had drunk the contents of it. Neighbors were hastily summoned, and Dr. Frank Allison, of South Wilmington, was sent for, but the woman died shortly after their arrival. She had taken a large quantity of carbolic acid.
