I couldn't find a marriage for George & Susan Ondesco in the Illinois Marriage Index. Perhaps both spelled their names differently. The index can be very fussy about spelling sometimes. "Morris Daily Herald", Morris, IL Fri, Nov 30, 1956 Gardner. Mrs. Susan Ondesco, 87, died in her home in Maine Twp, Thursday night after a short illness. Herbody was taken to Hansen funeral home where friends may call 2 to 5 or 7 to 10 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted in the Hansen chapel at 2:45 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Braceville-Gardner Cemetery. Mrs. Ondesco was born in Czechoslovia May 28, 1869, and came to Braceville Twp. where she was 18 years old. On July 15, 1885 she married George Ondesco. They farmed in Braceville Twp. until 1908 when they moved to Maine Twp. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Martis, Gardner, and Mrs. Frank (Emma) Bradbeer, Maywood, two sons, John and Andrew Ondesco, Gardner, two grandchildren & 3 great-grand-children. Braceville-Gardner Cemetery: Andrew Ondesco 1898-1969 Anna Ondesco 1894-1954 (buried June 24) George Ondesco 1862-1920 (buried Dec 26) John L. Ondesco 1889-1976 Susan Ondesco 1864-1956 (buried Dec 1) Anna Ondesco was the superintendent of schools of Grundy County. She never married. Andrew Ondesco was killed in a tractor accident. Never married. I found a few references to the Bradbeer family: Grundy Co, IL certificate #4894. Robert G. Bradbeer of Gardner, 28, born Illinois s/o Robert Bradbeer & Emma Perkins; married Katherine Kinber or Kimber of Gardner, 28, born England, d/o Richard Kinber & Sarah Stevens in Gardner, IL 9 March 1887. (that Stevens name makes them good candidates to be the parents of Frank Stevens Bradbeer) Grundy Co, IL certificate #5433. Alfred Bradbeer of Morris, 27, born London, Eng. s/o James Bradbeer & Elizabeth Rowe married Marry Fennel of Goodfarm, 25, born Poultney, VT, at Morris, IL Sept 17, 1884. I found no birth for Frank Stevens Bradbeer in Grundy Co. Have you found his death certificate? Do you have any idea about what year he got married? The index stops at the end of 1900; so one has to search by year after that at the courthouse. Lea
