Surnames: Griffin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wg.2ADE/1667 Message Board Post: Searching for Frank L Griffin, born in Garfield October 1865, brother James H born NYC 1860, father Thomas R, and mother Catherine (?). A Thomas and Frank listed in 1870 census of Garfield (Roll T225, page 329), but mother is listed as Minerva, 20 years younger than Thomas. James not listed. Thomas, Minerva and Frank also in 1880 census of Streator, IL, but not James. Mother and James in Joliet in late 1879. Would any one have information on James, by grandfather, or whether Catherine is the correct mother's name. Could there be another explination for Minerva rather then Catherine.
