They were in Morris, and he was looking up items on the Krein family. Very nice people. Regarding the naturalization papers for Theodore Krein--they said absolutely nothing except his name, that he renounced the King of Germany, and the date that he was naturalized. There is nothing here about Johanna Merck here in Grundy County. The IL Death Index says that she died 23 Feb 1925 in Park Ridge, Cook Co, IL. Lea
