Henry Richard Johnson d. Kendall Co, IL 13 Jan 1940. "Morris Daily Herald", Morris, IL, Mon, Jan 15, 1940 H. R. (Hallie) Johnson, 72, who operated a filling station on route 47 north of here at the curve in the highway near Central, died Saturday night about 6:15 in his home after an illness of about three weeks. His body was brought to the Hoganson funeral home here and returned to his own home this afternoon. Funeral services will be held in the home at 1:15 Wednesday afternoon and at 2 o'clock in Bethlehem Lutheran church in Lisbon. Rev. R. Walledom will officiate. Burial will be in Saratoga cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born March 26, 1867, in Big Grove township, Kendall county, and all of his early years were spent here. He quit farming in 1926 and moved to Morris, where he lived for five years and then bought the home on route 47 and operated the service station. He was married 48 years ago to Miss Olivia Thompson and she survives him with two daughters, Mrs. Sanford Helgevold of Kendall county and Mrs. Larry Baudino, of here. There are also a brother, Sidney, and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Jefferson, both of Chicago. There are five grandchildren. Grundy Co, IL Deed Record 110:29 dated 16 Feb 1910 The Grantor Ole H. Johnson and Christina Johnson his wife of the Town of Newark of the County of Kendall and State of IL...for $24,000... sold to Henry R. Johnson of Grundy Co, IL the SW 1/4 secion 3 township 34 range 7 (except school house site about 1/2 acre) Ole H. Johnson did not have an obituary in the Morris paper. I'll have to go to Yorkville and copy the one in their newspaper. Mrs. Larry Baudino is probably dead now, but I can probably find her obituary & see if they had any children. Forgot to look today. In 1900 Ole H. Johnson born Norway Aug 1839 & wife Christina b. IL Feb 1852 are living in Saratoga Twp. No children were living with them. They had been married 12 years and she had not had any children. Ole came to U. S. 1856. By 1910, they are no longer in Saratoga Twp--according to the land deed, they were in Newark, Kendall Co. Lea
