His final date is in vol 4, p. 373. He renounced the King of Austria. He was naturalized 5 Nov 1898. The witnesses were Josef Hoosik & Andr. McLuskie. He had lived in the U. S. for the previous 5 years (could have been longer, but apparently, that was what was required). He had applied for citizenship on 31 Oct 1896 in Grundy County. There was no information on that piece of paper either. I can copy these two pieces of paper for you, if you want, but it doesn't give you any information about when came, etc. If you want these two pieces of paper, send me your address. Lea
