Hi Barry- I believe the hours for the library are: Monday- Thursday: 9 a.m.- 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and they are closed on Sundays I do not think that there are any hotels or motels in Coal City. There are some in towns that are within 10-15 miles. Morris is about 10-15 miles away. They have a Super 8 (Ph.# 815-942-3200), Holiday Inn ( Int. of Rt. 47 & Interstate 80, Ph. # 815-942-6600), Comfort Inn (Ph. # 815-942-1433), Best Western Inn (Ph.# 815-942-9000).
