My great great grandparents were Guglielmo Valeriano and Caterina Enrietto. According to the bio of their son, Charles Valerio, in History of Grundy County, they came to America in 1880 and initially settled in Braidwood. Later they moved to Diamond. The family is as follows: Guglielmo Valeriano (William Valerio) and Caterina (Catherine) Enrietto Their children (and respective spouses) were the following: Ignazio Valeriano (George Ignatius Valerio) - my great grandfather who married 2 sisters in successsion : a) Giovanna (Johanna) Fenoglio-Gaddo and b) Ida Edith Fenoglio-Gaddo - my great grandmother. Charles Valerio married Theresa (Thresa?) Govenetti? Gianetti? Maria Valeriano (Mary Valerio) married Bernard (Barney, Bern?) Perona Frank Valerio married Ellen Hartmann? Herman? Agosto Valeriano (#1?) - died as a child? Agosto Valeriano (#2?) (John Valerio?) - never married, died in 1904 at the age of about 40.
