    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Bombassaro, Perona, Valerio, Enrietto, Gomora, Fenoglio, Gaddo Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wg.2ADE/176.287.1 Message Board Post: Your husband's line back to our common connection is as follows: Dominic Bombassaro and Mary Perona Bernard (Barney) Perona and Maria Valeriano (Mary Valerio) Guglielmo Valeriano and Caterina Enrietto (AKA William and Mary Valerio) My connection: Leslie Paulino Valerio - my grandfather Ignazio Valeriano and Ida Fenoglio-Gaddo, my great-grandparents Guglielmo Valeriano and Caterina Enrietto (AKA William and Mary Valerio), my great great grandparents Your Maria Valeriano (Mary Valerio), wife of Bernard (Barney) Perona was sister to my Ignazio Valeriano. I tried to email to you but I got an error message. Send a private email to me and we can talk more about this. Thanks so much for making this connection for me :) Still lots of unknowns about Barney and Mary Perona. I have a copy of their marriage license which gives his parent's names as well as hers. I have a copy of the biography for Charles Valerio, the brother of Ignazio and Maria Valeriano. This is from "The History of Grundy County". It tells a little about the family like that they came here from Italy in 1880. I also have death index listings and other info for various surnames in Grundy and Will counties - Valerio, Perona, Gomora, Probate info, Marriage info, Listings of obits in the Coal City Courant. If you live in the area you could probably find tons more than I could at the local libraries. There is also a bio for a Gomora that I have a copy of. And my great aunt, Catherine Valerio Kozuh Younger scribbled some notes - some about Barney and Mary Perona and their large family. Some funny things are that I've misinterpreted some of the notes. For instance one of the famil! y married a girl whose last name was Beebar and who I guess lived in Joliet. I read Aunt Catherine's notes as saying that he married "Bee, a bar girl from Joliet" thinking she was saying that she worked in a bar! lol Barry Jernigan Murfreesboro, TN
