Where did you find the information about Emile's parents? It makes me stop and wonder why a person (especially a farmer) would pop-up in a state far from where they were born, get married, and then move to another state. Were the Rutherfords from Grundy County? I believe that in 1860 travel was quite difficult, especially with the war. Thanks again.
