Mons Sorem is my Great Grandfather. In researching the Illinois death records, I discovered that three Sorem children had the same date of death. Two were siblings and perhaps the girl, I am not sure. My thoughts are that there was some kind of catastrophic event which took all three of them. Louis and Arnold were sons of Michael Andrew Sorem, (1900 Census, Morris, son of Andrew Nielsen Sorem, Mons Nielsen Sorem's brother), with wife, Julia. The children were Louis A Sorem, born 1898, died 19 Nov 1918, Arnold Sorem, died 19 Nov 1918, and Gladys Sorem died 18 Nov 1918 in Morris. All were in the Statewide Illinois Death Index. I can't help but suspect that they all perished together. It seems more than coincidental that the dates are so close. The children do not appear at all in the 1920 census, which leads me to believe that they are one and the same. However they do appear in the 1917 Morris City Directory, except for Gladys. Only Louis appears in the 1900 Census. I am presuming that Gladys is Michael's daughter. I cannot connect her to any other Sorem family in Morris. I have no hard evidence other than the coincidental death dates. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. If there is probate, naturalization or other information available for Mons Sorem and wife, it too would be greatly appreciated. I have researched the Saratoga Cemetery, Illinois marriage, death and birth lists. I have also researched the Kendall County records. It seems that I have exhausted all of the public information available through the state. Thanks in advance for your help. Kay
