Hi Deb, Yes it is the same .I just had a brain fog moment when I typed that one!! I have a copy of that article, which I found in the ft Wayne ,IN library. I also have a copy of eliza's will but have been unable to find contact with the daughters. My husband had visited his great aunt several times as a child and we have many pictures of her and I believe one of the girls. I would truly appreciate any help you could offer. A few years ago I called the chamber of commerce there, in an effort to find someone that might do genealogy searches for hire. Alas, they were of no help. By the way the Walter confusion comes from my mentioning of Walter Haynes so often in our research. maybe there is a link, since the spelling of Haines/Haynes were often from the same roots. Thank you for responding, Sue
Hi Sue, There is a biography in the 1914 History of Grundy County, but the name is listed is Cornelius D. Britt and not Walter. The wife's name and children's names are the same. Is this the same family? Yes, it's the Braceville - Gardner cemetery. It is located just west of Braceville, alongside I55, about 65 miles SW of Chicago. I am hoping someone has access to info on the Braceville cemetery. I am looking for the burial of my gg-grandmother Sarah Hatfield McCray, who died Nov.18, 1915, and was buried there. Also her husband, Van Buren McCray who died in 1911. Any help would be appreciated. Mike McCray

I don't know any Bernards or Strongs. I just have a Jesse Frank Barnes who married Mary Jane Barlow and I can't find a thing about her. Her parents are not on the marriage license. There was a death notice in the paper (Aug. 1885) but no parents listed. Thanks for your ideas. Maggie
Deb, thanks for the info. If you ever run across anything about J (he had only the initial) Forrest Morris, or his parents Joseph and Catherine I'd sure like to know about it. J was born in Wilmington to the above in 1855 and that is absolutely all that I know.
