I have just ordered 10 copies of the Prairie Farmer's 1918 Reliable Directory of Farmers and Breeders of Greene and Jersey County to be printed in PAPER BACK. The hardbound copies are too expensive. Even these must be sold at $25 each to insure a small profit. I must order at least 50 each of the hardbound to keep the price down below $35 each. I just don't think the market is out there for 50. I could be wrong. But I must sell these 10 in order to get enough money to order the 50. The paper backs will be here in about 2 weeks. Each book is 263 pages and contains information such as, name, wife's maiden name, children's names, name of the farm, Post office mailing route, Sec and sections of land owned, how many acres of land, how long they have lived in county, and their telephone carrier if they have a phone.
