He married Hester Ann Butcher September 26, 1832 in Carrolton, Illinois Greene Co. Hester Ann Butcher was the daughter of Isaac Butcher and Rebecca Narcissus Rentfro. Her mother married twice. Her first marriage was to John Land April 12, 1802 in Madison co. Ky. They had two children Fountain Land b. 1803 in Madison Co. Ky who married Emily Ruyle Sept 15, 1832 in Macoupin Co. Illinois and Cecilia Land b. 1804 who m. Garland Parish in Maurey Co. Tenn. Rebecca Narcisus Rentfro m. second Isaac Butcher and had seven children including Hester Ann Butcher who married Thomas Parish Caudle. A question arises..how was Thomas Parish Caudle related to the Parish family?? His wife's half sister married a Parish... Earlier I mistakenly thought that Thomas P. Caudle's mother was a half sister to Cecilia Land who m. a Parish...It was his wife who was a half sister to Cecilia Land. The father of Thomas Parish Caudle was Joshua Caudle who was born 1770 in Chatham Co. NC. and died 1850 in Wayne Co. Illinois. Joshua Caudle m. Eliz. Greene. Joshua and his sons Thomas, John and Isham bought land in Macoupin Co. Illinois in 1834-1836. then records show land bought in Wayne Co. Illinois by this Caudle family. Someone asked about a Thomas Caudle who married Naomi Smith Wheddle...I can't find a solid clue to who this Thomas is. I have suspected that it is Thomas who was a son of Isham Caudle and his wife Sarah Arnold Caudle. Isham was a brother to Thomas P. above. I have found 11 children for Isham and Sarah... The birthdates I have range from 1823 to 1842. I do not have a birth date for this Thomas. There is a Thomas Caudle who m. Naomi Smith and who died April 1896. There is a Thom Cordle age 25 farmer born Ill on the 1850 Wayne Co Illinois census with a wife age 19 or 17...the handwriting i s bad. They have a one yr old child female with two initials...the first looks like an M or N.
