According to an 1876 Atlast of IL, Rockbridge is located in the SW part of Greene Co and is only a mile or so from the Jersey County Line. Macoupin Co. is located a short distance to the West. Taylor Creek runs by Rockbridge, not Apple Creek. Apple Creek is more in the center of the County running east and west from Walkerville to and between Carrollton and White Hall then meanders to the NW. Hope this helps.
