    1. Re: Marriage Index--name problems???

    3. I have an exactly example for your third reason below. The couple did not reside in Greene county, however the father of the groom did. My ancestors Francis Marion MORROW and Sarah Katheryn GARRIGAN were wed in Erath county Texas on August 21, 1897 by J.D. St.CLAIR, J.P. of Prec. No. 3. However, I have a copy of the original license which shows their names as Marian MARROW and Katie GARIGIN. Needless to say many researchers of this family were unable to locate this marriage license. I just happened across it one day in a book listing marriages in the county. The couple is my maternal great-grandparents. Francis Marion MORROW was the son of Zachariah Allen MORROW and his second wife, Ellen Ermine BROWN. Zachariah Allen MORROW was born Abt. September 1840 in Mason or Greene county IL. He died on March 18, 1908 in Savanna, Pittsburg county OK following a long, painful illness after being run over by a team of run away horses pulling a hay wagon. Zachariah Allen MORROW was the son of Joseph S. MORROW and his first wife Nancy FINLEY. They were wed in Greene county Il on October 03, 1833. I am interested in exchaning information privately with all researchers of the ALLEN, DAVIS, FINLEY, JACKSON, LOVELACE, and MORROW. Theresa Hodge [email protected] "[email protected]" wrote: > ...
