I'm hoping to take a long weekend and make my first visit to Greene Co. to do some research on my Tucker & Turpenning ancestors. I'd really like to find some of their obituaries (1890-1930 period) and their cemeteries. I'd also like to visit the historical society, but I don't know when it is open. Can anyone tell me where I would find old newspapers and a good map of Greene Co.? I'd really appreciate some research tips. I won't be able to make a trip like this again for a long time and would like to make it as productive as possible. Thank you very much! Colleen
