Kathy, What years do these memoirs cover--really early? I have a father and son: father Joel Bacon and wife Polly Wheaton Bacon came to Greene County in 1818--censused in Milton in 1820. Son, Jacob Gordon Bacon married Nancy Chipman in Whitehall and they lived there (with his parents) through 1850 census. Parents died after 1840. Jacob and Nancy were there in 1861 when Jacob enlisted, but strangely, not in that census. I don't know where father or son is buried. Father Joel should be in Whitehall area. So should Jacob, for his widow is censused in IL State census in Whitehall in 1865, . If the memoirs cover these years or these names, I surely would like to know where to find this book, too! Jan
