    3. MJ Bradley asked a question and I thought I'd clear the air about all this typing being done for Greene County. It is not meant to offend anyone but puts the facts out there to help folks make up their minds about helping me. ......... In time of course! They've been in a box since 1993 when I took the time to read and write them down from the old newspapers and family files. No one else, except Jean Wooldridge, seemed to be interested in helping gather them, as I asked for help back then as well. May I ask, are you a paid member of the historical society? These folks will be the first to receive the articles, since they are the ones who funded the Society where these records are located, and this is as it should be. Once they receive the finished projects, then and only then will they be posted as "free" for those who are not members. I Hope I have explained this well enough without offending you. But these folks are responsible for purchasing the file cabinets, the building, the electricity, the heat and the volunteers who cut and past each scrape article that comes thru the museum and makes it available to folks like me who do this for all who come after us. Again, yes they will be posted but at a later time. May be as much as six months from now, since I still have hundreds of articles that need to be typed. This is a fact for Jersey and Calhoun Counties as well. I've been at it a long time. I became "in a hurry" after these last heart attacks and decided that all this'd work will go back into the museum, again, to sit, until someone else decides to volunteer to do what we are doing. Thanks and again, I mean no disrespect or in any way to offend anyone. 3. Marty I will continue to type for you, however, I don't think it's fair to those who choose not to belong to a society to do work for them unless they know the facts up front. I'm sure that all who volunteered did it with the impression that the articles would be placed on the respective website within a few days after sending them back to you. If the volunteers are all society members then I can see the articles being published for the benefit of the society. However, if the society members want to reap the benefits then they should do the work themselves just like any other society. Debbi __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? 3. I tend to disagree! I'm helping with the typing and I'm not yet a member. Also, with the volume of documents that need typed time will be needed to collate them. Just my opinion.
