Hello. I'm new to this list. Just found out that my John Davis family lived in Greene Co. IL and spent more time here than in any other Illinois county (1834-1850). After living in Greene co. they moved to Bath township, Mason co. IL. My John Davis and his wife Vinecy Morrow Davis came to Greene County in the fall of 1834. John and Vinecy were born in NC (John in 1809, Vinecy in 1815). A number of Davis people and Morrows came to Illinois around the same time and a number of Morrows and Davises married each other. My Davis-Morrow family is connected also with surnames of Merris(s), Eveland, Renshaw, Wagoner, Yewell, Pruitt, Cradick, Rawlins,Denham,Center, Lovelace. I hope to connect with others who may be working on this group. It's always exciting to meet distant cousins and to share our information! Thanks. Lois
