    2. Hi Genealogy Friends, I was wondering if someone would help me out with a problem I am having with my FTM. Lately when I click on my FTM a message comes up that reads, "An error has occurred in OLE2NLS.DLL. Please try reinstalling OLE." I don't have a clue what OLE is or how to do this. Sure could use some help. Thanks, Nancy

    3. GO to the Family Tree Maker website and see it there is anything about it in their FAQ page,...it not, you might want to email them. I've had problems with it before and they are very helpful!! 3. Nancy, Did you get your problem solved. I haven't been on the computer in a few days and only saw your message this morning. I have had this problem in the past. Although I have to admit I haven't had it pop up for over a year now. It seemed like every time I upgraded the FTM to a newer version I would get this message. I did just what rmiller suggested. I know it sounds like a pain but after you've done it a few times you get the hang of it. I never could figure out why it was popping up because my settings were set on "English" so to make it work I picked another "English" setting rebooted went back and reset it to the original "English" setting rebooted again and everything worked great. OLE stands for Object Linking and Embedding and has to do with the scrapbook portion of the program. Currently I'm working with version 8.0. I'm looking at the 7.0 users manual. The OLE information is listed on pages 191-203. This may help you or not.
