    3. How does one obtain a divorce record for Greene County? My ancestor's brother, Joseph Blackshaw 1831 married Rebecca Dayball 1828/1829 on 4 Mar 1854 in St. Louis, lived for a time in Montgomery Co., Mo, then moved to Berdan with others from his family. His sister, Hannah 1839, married George Sleight 1836, who owned a general store and ran the post office there. Joseph assisted with both store and post office. His other sister, Elizabeth Frances 1837, married William Waring 1825, and also lived first in Berdan and then near Palmyra in Macoupin Co. All three families moved over from Montgomery Co., MO. Back to Joseph (nicknamed One-Arm Joe). In 1873 he married Mary Meredith Strain and had an additional four children. We who research together on this line had thought that Rebecca had died before then, but she listed on the 1870 and 1880 St. Louis censuses with her children and in the 1890 St. Louis directory. Two of her children attended the nearby school for the deaf in Fulton, Callaway, Missouri. So I am seeking a divorce record. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jerry in Idaho
