Click on FILE Click on Copy/Export Family File Save in (Pick where you want it to go) I'd suggest My Documents Name it Save type I'd use GEDCOM Then go to MY Doc and right click on the new file and ZIP IT Then copy it to a disk and put it up. If your hard drive crashes, you will need to reinstall the FTM program and then add the new file just by opening it and saving it to the progam FTM. If you want to back up the entire harddrive then you'll need to follow your computer back up recommendations. Thanks Marty
