I am seeking information that ties into my War(e)ing line. Michael H. Waltrip circa 1852 of Berdan, married Marie (Mariah) War(e)ing 25 Aug 1854 from Missouri, on 10 Oct 1893. According to the 1880 census, they had three children: Eva circa 1874, Reno circa 1876, and Catharine circa 1878. There may be more children. Michael H. Waltrip is the son of Michael Waltrip 29 Mar 1810 of Breckinridge, KY, died Greene Co., IL, and Alcey Heater b. 6 May 1817, Ohio, died Greene Co., IL. Their children were Mary C. 1836, Marth aAnn 1839, Matilda 1842, Fanny (prob. Frances) 1844, and Michael H., 1852. I visited Hickory Grove cemetery (I hope I'm remembering the correct name) a couple of years ago and saw a grave for a Michael H. Waltrip and another wife. I don't know if they are one and the same or not. Marie War(e)ing was the daughter of William Waring and Elizabeth Frances Blackshaw, my 3rd great grandparents. Elizabeth is buried in that cemetery with four of her children who died young. If anyone has additional information on these families, I would appreciate knowing. Marie was "left behind" when William and the younger children moved west about 1880. Thanks! Jerry in Idaho
