Betty, Before you leave, let me ask you a quick question - do you know when Elder John Record died? I haven't found it yet, myself. I believe it is probable that the Shiloh Church had a log church by 1841 (it had to exist by 1838 or earlier) in Macoupin Co., as it hosted the Concord Association that year. Although, I admit, the meetings could have been in a grove, at a members' hme, or other shelter of some kind, rather than in a log building. I may have more on Elder Sion Record or John Record in Tennessee in minutes of the Concord Association of Tennessee (could this be that they used all the names from where they came from in Tennessee when they started churches and associations in Illinois) hmmm. The Concord Association of Tennessee was organized in 1810, if I remember right, by churches dismissed from the Cumberland Association, which was organized in like 1800, and included churches around the Nashville area. Maury county is south or southwest of Nashville, and the Cumberland Association still meets and has churches in that area.
