    1. Re: Greene CO King's
    2. Kent, I find a Benjamin M. King in Kane Cemetery, Kane Township. Born 3/25/1807, d 8/9/1844 and in the same cemetery Captain Lucian King 6/11/1817 to 6/6/1879. Robert King d 10/27/1858 aged 32yrs 11m 2d in Carrollton Cemetery which makes the birth year 1832, a few years later than the last birth you've listed, but not so late as to be impossible. Carrolltron Cemetery also has a number of Kings listed as children of John and Charlotte. All were born in the 1840's and appear to fit with the son John you have listed. John and Charlotte are NOT listed in Carrollton Cemetery, Hope this is some help. If it brings up a specific question let me know maybe an answer can be found. TOM SAXTON

    3. Tom Thanks for the reply. I will study Benjamin M. and see where it takes me. Capt Lucian King is from New York, mine are from PA, NC, TN, KY, IN to IL,. I do not think he is part of my Kings. Robert King is from New Orleans per bio, I have seen several refrences that Alexander's youngest were born 1825. It is the process of elimanation. On John and Charlotte, John died before 1860, Alexander adopted his daughter Elizabeth. Do not know exact date of death and have not found where he is buried. 3. Martin Burt lived in Greene Co., (in Madison in 1820 census) until about 1838. He left us a booklet full of notes, mostly financial transactions, which I have transcribed. He mentions King family several times....David being the only given name he used. He seemed to be either purchasing or selling rails to David King. Could this David be part of your Kings?
