    2. While reading your message to Betty, I see where you stated that Isham was ordained a minister after returning to Wayne County. Do you know where he was before returning to Wayne County? Thanks Avie

    3. Isham the son of Joshua was b. april 22, 1894 in N.C. and died May 3, 1891 in Macoupin Co. Illinois. He m. sarah arnold april 27, 1822 in Maurey co. Tn. He served in the Blackhawk war enlisting in Macoupin Co. along with his brother Thomas Parish Caudle. Isham and his wife had 10 children including an Isham Wesley...Records would seem to indicate that the Caudles were in Macoupin co. Illinois in the 1834-6 and bought land there...Isham's dau Mary Angeline m. Lemuel Banning Jan 22, 1843 in Greene Co., Illinois. The brother Thomas Parish Caudle, brother Samuel and the Father Joshua Caudle were in Wayne Co. in 1850. I suspect Isham was in Wayne Co. about that time and later returned to Macoupin as he and his wife are buried in Land's Cemetery in Macoupin Co. I guess the answer was Macoupin Co., Illinois...check this site: http://www2.sos.state.il.us/cgi-bin/blkhawk for info about Isham and his brother in the blackhawk war. betty At 08:27 PM 1/3/2001 -0500, you wrote: >While reading your message to Betty, I see where you stated that Isham was >ordained a minister after returning to Wayne County.
