Have you tried the library in White Hall?. they have a great card index and newspapers on microfiche. The newspaper microfiche can be borrowed from Springfield to your local library. I have seen the name Bacon somewhere in my Greene county searches but can't remember where. I'll keep your msg and if I find anything, I'll let you know.
