I'd appreciate knowing what Methodist churches, if any, are in existence in or near Kane, Illinois t hat might have been in existence in 1850 that is still in use in 2001. My great grandmother, Winnie Jane Hagen-Wines was a member of the Methodist church from the time she was married in 1850 to Allen Wines. She would have attended a Methodist church in Illinois from pre-1850 to the latter part of the 1860's when they migrated to Kansas. I'd like to see if there are church records that are currently in existence in such a church. Ed Wines
Hi, I saw your mail about Kane, Ill. I saw an old book of church records for the Methodist church in Kane, Ill at the Historical Soc. in Carrollton, Ill last year. It has a lot of info in it. I copied some of the pages that had so ROSE folks of mine in it. You can look on the Greene Co. web to get the number and address of the Soc. Hope this helps, Kathy. ----- Original Message ----- From: Edward C.
