Thanks, Androus/Andrews, Joel wife Elizabeth Andrews, William Thanks so much D. Andrews
Shirley, I don't understand.... I know that my GGrandfather, and his brother were in Jersey Co. in 1885, why would not their names be in the index?
I don't have the Jersey County index posted currently - only the one for Greene - if you want to send me his name, will see if he is listed in the Jersey County index in the same book. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, September 28, 2000 9:02 PM Subject: Re: Biographies > Shirley, I don't understand.... Irwin, James M. p.808 connected to g-g-grandfather Benj.Hahn's mother-in-law Matilda Irwin (Wells)?? In the 1850 census about 12,500 persons (42 per page 296 pages) were recorded as living in Greene County. By the 1860 census the population was up to about 16,200 (40 per page 405 pages), Doubtful that Half The County moved to Texas during a time when the population increased by nearly 30%.
