Hi, Not knowing what you REALLY want to view, you can either: Purchase you portion of whatever location or country directly from the LDS in Salt Lake City or www.ancestorspy.com (not exactly sure of that one, but pretty close) www.ancestryspy.com or if you are doing England, GENFair or GENFare usually has all I want. 1. Moore confusion in Greene/Scott Co., IL
    2. Harold F. Hahn
    3. The more I find I find out about these Moores the more confused I am. According to searches on the IL Archives Marriage Index http://www2.sos.state.il.us/cgi-bin/marriage in Greene Co., on 3/17/1825: Abel Moore m. Delilah Jackson and James Moore m. Lilley Jackson. **Did 2 brothers marry sisters?** Cemetery Transcriptions from the Adams Hill Cemetery, near Glasgow, in neighboring Scott Co., from http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilscott/cemeteries/Adamshillbarnett.txt lists: MOON, Sidney A. Died 19 Mar 1865 30 Yr 11 Mo 1 Da Wife of H. Moon Lilley Died 30 Nov 1846 36 Yr Wife of J. Moon near the graves of DAWDY, James Elizabeth M. Died age 52 Yr Wife of James Dawdy It's obvious that "Moon" above should be read "Moore" and that Sidney A. is the Sidney Ann (shown as dau.of James & Elizabeth Dawdy in 1850 and as wife of Henry Moore in 1860) who married Henry Moore 11/2/1854 in Scott Co., IL. It seems equally certain that Lilley is the Lilley Jackson who married James Moore 3/17/1825 in Greene Co. Now, when we think we're fairly certain Henry Moore is a son of James Moore and Lilley Jackson, we confuse things a bit more by discovering another marriage index listing for Greene Co. on 1/21/1847: James Moore m. Mrs. Delilah Moore So the collection of people at the home of James and Delilah Moore on the 1850 Census listing below, includes children of James and Lilley (who died in 1846), children of Abel (who appears to have also died in the 1840's) and Delilah, Beman Moore (age 42) and perhaps children of his by a wife then deceased, and Betsey Jackson (age 58) and what I read as Kimmon Jackson (age 18). I feel fairly certain that Henry Moore is hidden (perhaps as Hugh or as Robert who are at least in mid-teen range) in the jumbled data for James Moore's household (3 doors from where Sidney Ann Dawdy, who he married 4 yrs.later is found) in the 1850 Scott Co., IL, Census. I suspect the census taker's confusion went beyond crossed out names and misnumbered items on the page and reflected a family flexibility in names and ages given (Henry's daughter (my g-grandmother) is sometimes Delilah Jane and sometimes Jane Delilah on records---my father is Harold Frank Hahn on early records and Frank Harold Hahn on his military and later records---his date of birth moved a year earlier as he approached adulthood). ---------- 1850 Census, Scott Co., IL, Roll 128, p.48a: Dwlling Family 643 667 James Moore 49 M Farmer 400 SC Delilah " 43 F TN Sarah " 15 F IL William " 22 M Farmer IL Anna " 15 F IL Robert " 13 M IL Hugh " 13 M IL Angeline " 11 F IL Beman " 11 M IL Lilley " 9 F IL Catherine " 9 F IL George " 7 M IL Huldah J. " 1 M IL ------------------ Henry and Sydney Ann did not clarify things with the names of the only 2 children I'm aware of (shown on 1860 Census): Elizabeth A. Moore b.ca. 1857 Delila Jane Moore b.ca. 1859 --- Considering they were married 11/2/1854, there could easily have been other children given other names (such as James, Abel, Lilley). So I don't consider Delila(h)'s name proof Henry was Delilah's son rather stepson/nephew. Lilley's burial appears to be one of the earliest burials listed at the Adams Hill Cemetery, and those of her neighbors the Dawdy's followed in the 1860's, then Sydney Ann Dawdy, young wife of Henry Moore in 1865. No other Moore's are listed there. I'm inclined to think Sydney's parents, then young Sydney, were buried at the little seldom used cemetery where Henry's mother was buried. ------------------- Whose son is Henry Moore? Who are the parents of the other Moore children at dwelling 667? Whose son is John Moore at dwelling 669? Whose sons were Abel Moore and James Moore? Whose daughters were Lilley and Delilah Jackson?
