Martin Burt lived in Greene Co., (in Madison in 1820 census) until about 1838. He left us a booklet full of notes, mostly financial transactions, which I have transcribed. He mentions King family several times....David being the only given name he used. He seemed to be either purchasing or selling rails to David King. Could this David be part of your Kings? Re: Greene Co. KINGS from Kent Simpson I have a relative, Nancy RENO (b. 1810-1815 Fentress Co. TN, daughter of Aaron+Nancy RENO) who married a Samuel KING Dec.7 1832 in Greene Co. IL. After that, I have no other information on her. Could she have married "your" Samuel KING, Alexander's 2nd son? Do you have any further information on Samuel and his possible wife? I assume that Nancy stayed in Greene Co. as her parents and siblings remained in Greene Co. for their lifespans. Thanks for any information and sorry I can't help with the missing KING child. Robert King d 10/27/1858 aged 32yrs 11m 2d in Carrollton Cemetery which makes the birth year 1832, a few years later than the last birth you've listed, but not so late as to be impossible. Carrolltron Cemetery also has a number of Kings listed as children of John and Charlotte. All were born in the 1840's and appear to fit with the son John you have listed.
