Can one of you historians please tell me if there was an "uprising" in the Omaha area around October of 1852? My ggf died then and I am wondering if perhaps there was some Indian raid or something that happened that might have caused his death? I don't have any idea of what the area was like in those times, how densely populated or if there was some other major event going on, maybe cholera or whatever? Thanks, Carol Dugger CA
