I have found a Charles McCLAIN listed on Ancestry.com for the state census of 1820. Also indicates he was there in 1818. I also found a land record for 1817. My Charles McCLAIN (and many various spellings) was last known to be in Rockingham Co, NC in 1815........he is in Weakley County, Tn. by 1826........I am trying to find them in these lost years......HELP PLEASE........happy to exchange info..........My Charles was born probably sometime btw 1784-1788 in Rockingham Co, NC........all help is appreciated............pj
