Nancy Jane Bruce (called Janice in the 1880 census) married Samuel E. Kanady in Gallatin County 1 April 1883. She was born in 1859 based on the 1880 and 1920 censuses. Samuel (1854 - 1919) was the son of Jesse Harrison Kanady and his second wife Nancy Jane Crawford, and the grandson of Moses Kanady. In the 1920 census Nancy Jane Bruce Kanady, widow, is living with her daughter Edith Hart in Dexter City, Stoddard, Missouri; but she is buried (1934) in Crawford Cemetery, Ridgway with her husband.
