    3. Hello, I'm writing as the list owner. I've been out of town and hoped the list would quiet down. I don't like blocking people from the list, not do I like closing the list to non-subscribers. However, if things continue I may have to take those steps. If you want to unsubscribe, send a message to either ilgallat-l-request@rootsweb.com or ilgallat-d-request@rootsweb.com. If you originally signed up where you get each message separately you signed up for the list version and you should send a message to the first address. If you receive the digest version, then sent a message to the second list. To unsubscribe simply send a message to one of the addresses with the word UNSUBSCRIBE as part of the message. When you do, please turn off any signatures what are normally automatically added. Likewise if you want to subscribe send a message to the appropriate address ("l" for list, "d" for digest) with the word SUBSCRIBE. If you have something to add (i.e. new information, etc.) to the subject of Gallatin County genealogy, history, folklore, etc., please continue to do so. But please keep comments on topic. Flaming is an old (if we can use that term when it comes to the Internet) name which describes some of the types of attacks that have been made by people on this list against both people on this list and individuals off the list. Flaming is not allowed. Show courtesy and respect to all on the list, even if they don't deserve it. Your comments are recorded for posterity. Years from now your grandchildren may be searching the Rootsweb archives for a school research project. Keep that in mind. Sincerely, Jon Musgrave Gallatin County List Owner
