Nancy, I am also researching ELLISON 's and BAKER's of Gallatin Co. William C. Baker b.1/5/1821, Wilson Co. TN, d. 8/21/1880 Gallatin Co. Illinois, death as listed in: Gallatin Co., Cemeteries by Glen Miner. Married, 12/1/1842 Carmi. Illinois to: Minerva Ellison. b.4/22/1819, Kentucky. d. 4/28/1878, Gallatin Co. Illinois, death as listed in: Gallatin Co. IL. Newspaper Abstracts, Vol. IV, compiled by Shriley Cummins Shewmake, Harrisburg, IL 62946-2560 (1996) Both are buried in Asbury Cemetery. Wm. C. has a Civil War head stone and is listed in Glen Miner's book. She is not listed because there is no headstone on her plot. I think she is the daughter of James S. Ellison, but have not been able to prove. He is buried in the Ellison Family Cemetery located in Asbury Twp which near Asbury Cemetery. Is James S. Ellison part of your Ellison's? I visited the Asbury Cemetery last spring. It is a nice, well kept cemetery. Bill Baker
