I am researching the Mayfield that were in Gallatin Co. My gggrandfather and his family was listed on the 1860 census.I have been told they werefrom Shawneetown and Equality. John was married to Mary and they had the following children,Catherine, Amelia Jane, James David and Thomas Reuben. They left Il and moved to Stoddar and Butler Counties, MO. They show up on the 1911 records there. They then moved to Cleburne and Poinsett counties, AR. The info will be greatly appreciated. Elgin Mayfield @ [email protected]
