    3. This is the information I have documented from records at the Hamilton County Courthouse. I have the probate records of John Coons and have found him in the census records. He was my gggrandfather. John Coons b. bet. 1797-1806. d. 1863 Hamilton County. 1850 Hamilton Cty. census indicates s/b 1797, but maybe 1806. John m. Sally Carr April 23, 1825. (Early marriages by Felty shows a John Coons and Susannah Locke were issued a marriage license in 1821 but no return) Children of John Coons and Sally Carr are: John Jr. b. unknown (not shown in hh in 1850) James b. unknown (not shown in hh in 1850 but administrator of John Coons (father) estate in 1863. Absalom Coons b. 1829 IL. William Coons b. 1831IL. m. Emoline Cook b. 1832. TN William d. 1863. Emoline m. Isaac Duvall 1870 in Hamilton Cty. and disappears. There is a gs in Digby Cemetery indicating she died in 1867, but she didn't. Actually no one is buried in that lot. The stone was put there by my uncles who didn't know where they were buried. William is my ggfather. Eliza J. Coons b 1832 IL(m. James Heard) in Hamilton County Winfield Coons b. 1836 d. 1863 .Elizabeth Coons b.1838 Caroline Coons b. 1841( m. Thomas Richardson) in Hamilton County Mary Ann (Polly) Coons b. 1843 (m. William P. Neavis (maybe Harris) 1871 Warden P. Coons b. 1846 (m.Mahala McGhee 1889) Hamilton County Rebecca Coons. b 1848 Children of William Coonse and Emoline Coonse are: Burrell Coons abt 1845 (single) d. 1878 Irena Coons b. 1847 (m. James Morgan 1875) Sarah L. b. 1859 Henry Albert (my gf) b. 1862 (m. Winnie C. Mick )d. 1955 All the children of Emoline Coonse were raised by different families in Hamilton County. I have found Henry Albert (my gf) living with the Beetts family. Maybe the age of 19 shown sb 9. He always said he was also in the Beasley family as a child. Who knows???? My problem also goes back to the John Coons. Which one is he anyway? I think everybody who had the name Coons named a child John. I'm trying to find his father. This is my story!! Thanks for all you help. I think my family came from TN to IL by way of MO.
