The name of the witness, Johnson Canady, on this document is an actual signature and I had assumed that he was a relative of the bride. Of course that may not have been the case. Did Fatima marry Nathaniel Floyd? Did Ida have any siblings? She was married to my great uncle and I know nothing about her. I have a slightly out of focus group photograph which includes Ida Floyd. It was made about 1912 or 1913 in Texas. To answer your first question, the parenthetical data IS on the marriage license, except for the death dates and the references to Titus Co. TX. In answer to your second question, no, I do not know the people you list. I noticed the Hester K. and Samuel H McG. union listed in the marriage index. I could not identify him as either of my Samuel McGehees (one born abt. 1813, the other in 1848.) I feel sure he is related to me but I do not have him listed with the children of any of my McGehees.
