Hicks Grocery & Hardware Store, North of it was the Edgar Mills Hotel which was built in 1892 and closed in 1917 and now the site of fire station and other village buildings. The next building was the old G. F. M. Bean home advertised as office of Dr. S. C. Latham in 1894. Another Latham doctor was: The 1870 census listed the area as having two doctors, James C. Latham and Wm. G. Hopkins, ....
