Donna, I can help add to your confusion :). In a collateral line of my Dugger family there were several Pearce marriages : Mary "Polly " Pearce b. Aug 18,1800 TN married to James T. Trousdale b. Oct 7,1795 Montgomery Co TN.; a "Bud" Pearce b.? married an Almeda Kinsall b.abt 1845; an Edah Pearce married Alexander Trousdale probably in the1790's; and a Mary Ann "Polly" Pearce married Alfred Blackard sometimearound the 1850's.
