I have recently identified the parents of William Greer, born in Wilson County, Tennessee on 31 Aug 1827 and married Lucy Ann Johnson of Gallatin County, Ga. He enisted in the Mexican War 10 Oct 1847 at Shawneetown and was discharged in Monterey, Mexico on 10 April 1848. They had about 7 children. Has anyone researched this family and can produce the names and birthdates of their children. One was Alton A Greer who taught school, was a lawyer and States Attorney for Gallatin for several years.
