She wanted me to ask how your mother is feeling. Also, she wondered if Bernard Elliott was one of your teachers at Goolsby School. Mother's mother, Edna Ruth Crest Syers, taught at Wildcat School, Hickory Hill School and Greer School and mother's sister, Rebecca Emm Syers Lehr taught at Dorsey School and in Equality. Martha Baker Harpling >> Hi Martha My mother Nigel Frohock Black celebrated Christmas and then her 92nd birthday on December 28. Then she rang the Millennium in on Dec 31. But the celebrations were pretty flat to most of us. It was shortly thereafter that we admitted to ourselves and others that she is terminal and has only a short time to live. Renal failure and congestive heart failure. She refused dialysis at her age and is bravely facing the end soon. Her mind is still good but the body just won't support it. Yes, I went to school to Bernard Elliott at Pisgah and then again at Goolsby. I lived with my grandparents Lee and Grace Frohock for a couple of years after the 1937 backwater wiped us out at Gibsonia. I never went to any of the other schools you mention except of course I did go to Equality HS for two years before moving to East Alton/Wood River and graduating HS from there. Thanks for thinking of us out here in New Jersey. Bob Black
