    3. How far is it to Gallatin County from St. Louis? Of course, I won't get anywhere near there until possibly this summer because I live in West Virginia. I thought Halley could be a variation on Haley. My great-grandmother was Sarah Ellen Haley and she married Lorenzo Dow Maulding. Sarah was from Gallatin County and Lorenzo from Hamilton County. Sarahs, mother, Eliza C. Gates married Mike Haley and I think he may have been born in Ireland. When he died she married a Burns and my great-grandmother at times, went by the Burns surname. My great-grandmother also had a brother named John H. Haley and I have some info on him. If you sould find out that any of these are related to you, let me know and I can share some information with you.
