Dear List, For the past couple of years I have followed this list closely. During that time I've reaped a lot of information from it and thank you all for the help you have given me. However, I have found that I have now collected a bunch of material that needs to be organized and have decided to drop off the list for a time in order to do that. George Beeler McComb and his wife, Amanda Frances Davis nee Talley who lived in Equality in Gallatin County from about 1868 to around 1880. Amanda may have died and been buried in Gallatin County. Amanda's son, Thomas Alexander Davis and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth House (or possibly Harris) who married in Gallatin County in 1869. They were still there as of 1880 and are buried in Ellmwood Cemetery in Gallatin County as are four of their daughters, Nellie, Nannie, Gertrude and Hallie and their husbands. Thomas's children: 1. Mary who died as a child sometime before 1880. 2. Nellie T. Davis (1872 to 1945) and her husband Frank E. Smith Any of their children 3. Nannie E. Davis (1875 to 1945) and her husband John K. Breckenridge Any of their children (I know Nannie had at least one) 4. Gertrude Davis (1879 to 1964) and her husband Walter Sutton Their daughter, Elizabeth Jane Sutton or any other children 5. Hallie Davis (1883 to 1965) and her husband Moses Quincy Maas Their sons a. Carroll J. Maas b. Quincy Maas or any other children 6. son Carroll Davis (born after 1880) Carroll's children a. Carroll Davis Jr. b. Oliva c. Carolyn or any other children Amanda's daughter Mary Eliza Davis, born 1847, died around 1882, possibly in Gallatin County. George and Amanda's daughter Georgina McComb born in 1959. Married a Charles W. Benedict in Indiana in 1882 but may have returned to Illinois with the family. She died in 1883, possibly in Gallatin County, though not likely.
